Title: Managing Director, Africa — GGOID: GEN00000611DescriptionManaging Director, Africa - GGORole PurposeResponsible for all Thomson Reuters business across South and Sub-Saharan Africa, with the exception of GRC at this stage, driving profitable short and long term growth across the territory.Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities· Determines, defines and drives short and long term growth strategy for Africa.· Develops growth map(s) for businesses under management and executes on immediate and longer-term priorities.· Implements an operational model and develops relevant capability to drive and sustain continued growth.· Is accountable for P&L, down to performing OI.· Defines market strategy and delivers on it through sales, account and service management.· Drives the development and delivery of products and services for end-user experience and satisfaction.· Drives and delivers on strategic goals relating to market share.· Ensures world class service is delivered to GGO customers in the territory.· Identifies acquisition opportunities and drives the acquisition roadmap within Africa across the different businesses.· Builds the Thomson Reuters brand in the territory through targeted PR and Marketing activities.· Responsible for the growth and development of their direct and wider team, building skills and capabilities and driving the talent agenda in the territory.· Senior Representative of the company in the country for all business, staff, legal and other related activities.Scope and Impact· Represents the organisation to the financial community, industry groups, key customers, representatives of government and regulatory agencies, and the general public in Africa.· Financial responsibility (Budget, Revenue, OI).· Manages a team of 8-10 managers.Internal/External RelationsInteracts with senior managers and executives at major customers, as well as government officials and regulatory body leaders in the territory.Manages a matrix organisation (with dotted reporting lines, teams managed on a global or functional basis etc) within the geography.At Thomson Reuters, we deliver intelligent information quickly and efficiently, so professionals have knowledge to act.
