Title: Client Specialist (South East Asia)-(for Bahraini Nationals)ID: CON00005495DescriptionThe role is only applicable to Bahraini Nationals.The term "Contributions" refers to the third party data sourced from over 4000 banks, brokers and other financial institutions. They provide OTC (over-the-counter) pricing and commentary on a wide spectrum of global markets including Treasury, Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities and Energy. This unique range of contributed data is a key differentiating factor for Reuters.The job holder will be an integral member of the Contributions team, supporting the department through the build and ongoing maintenance of Islamic contributed data, dealing with client queries, and input into group projects and strategies. The Role is expected to support the CRM by providing the relationship management support with all banks, financial institutions and brokerage companies in South East Asia that are dealing in Islamic products and ensuring that appropriate contributions are maintained and getting the parties involved in the community to enhance stickiness.The contributions team work closely with the relevant local Channel and Business Division staff to identify requirements for contributed data and improve our content offering. The contribution team liaises with the account teams and client trainers to identify relevant contacts and develop relationships.Responsibilities:1. Working with the Contributions Relationship Managers to design contributed data solutions for clients in existing and new markets.2. Monitor, action, and distribute customer and internal queries, by providing email and telephone support to our clients.3. Provide input into core group projects and strategies.4. Support the Data Production Team with building and maintenance of contributed data on the network.5. Be a flexible team player within the contributions group6. Enhance contributions by providing continuous support to contributing banks7. Assist in supporting and developing the IF community in South East Asia as requestedUses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on/with problems/clients of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.QualificationsA graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Banking/Finance/Economics or a closely related discipline from a recognised university provided, minimum grade is:- Upper Second Class Honors (2:1) according to the British system.- B+ according to the American academic system or 3.5 GPA out of 4.- Very Good according to the Arab system.- Bien according to the French system- Specialisation in Islamic Finance gained either through undergraduate, graduate or through at least one year of related work experience.- Excellent command of spoken and written English- Good Microsoft Office Suite skills with ability to manipulate data in Excel and presentations/proposals in Word and Powerpoint.Character attributes- Good negotiation and communication skills- Strong self-motivated and goal orientated- Extensive team work- Comprehensive understanding of financial marktes- Maturity to cope in inter-organisational environments and flexibility to deal with volatile environmentsDesired skills:- Specialisation in Islamic Finance gained either through undergraduate, graduate or through at least one year of related work experience.- Work experience in debt capital markets as an analyst or equivalent- Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa and ability to understand cultural norms in South East Asian markets and other languages are prefferedAt Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
